As ‘Suffolk’s Foodie Capital‘, Bury St. Edmunds has an unusually large number of places to eat and drink. This is a collection of the noteable ones we have been to and enjoyed the most plus those with good reputations that we haven’t been to yet. Great traditional real ale pub (no food), a bit shabby but excellent beer and the rear walled garden is a lovely sun-trap - The Rising Sun (7 min) – selection of unusual real ales (no food)
- The Beerhouse (6 min) – no food but in Summer amazing tacos from Tacor Taqueria concession in garden
- The One Bull (7 min) – same group as The Beerhouse, more of a gastropub
- The Bushel (2 min) – standard Greene King fare but very close by!
