By Car

Main road access to the Bury St. Edmunds is via the A14 (dual carriageway). There are three main exits to the town, all would be OK to use but the best one from either direction is the middle one (J43, signposted Bury St. Edmunds Central).

Parking in the Orchard St. area can be tricky depending on what time you arrive. There is a separate page with advice on parking as close as possible.

By Train

Bury St. Edmunds Railway Station is very close, only a 10min walk away (directions on Google Maps) There are usually hourly trains to/from Cambridge and Ipswich, and 2-hourly to/from Peterborough. If travelling from London, the best option is London Liverpool St. to Stowmarket, then 1 stop from there to Bury St. Edmunds (or 20min taxi/car).
